The important thing is: The adhesive does not attack the paint and the fancy stickers can be removed from your bike at any time. You also don't have to worry about washing, the stickers are wash-proof.
If it is a filigree motorcycle sticker set, a transfer foil makes it easier to apply. Letters and elements of the sticker cannot slip out of place.
Remove old stickers
Before you apply the new stickers to your bike, it is important to remove old stickers and adhesive residue completely. If the sticker has become hard and brittle over time, you can make it supple again with a little heat, for example from a hairdryer. The glue dissolves better through the heat and the sticker can even be removed in one piece. Spirit, lamp oil or acetone-free alcohols are suitable to remove even the last glue residues from the lacquer. Please note that the heat must not be too high, especially with plastic cladding parts, to avoid damage or deformation.
The right preparation is what counts
Two adhesive techniques are used to attach the stickers to the tank, the swingarm, the fender or anywhere else:
For both types you need a clean, dust, grease and silicone-free and dry surface. For example, before you apply a skull sticker from our assortment, clean the surface with spirit (IMPORTANT: Make sure that the surface is compatible!) and a soft, lint-free cloth. Shortly before gluing, clean the surface again with a standard glass cleaner.
Remove air bubbles
Especially with complicated surfaces, air bubbles often cannot be avoided. Smaller bubbles usually disappear by themselves after a short time. Larger air inclusions should be carefully pricked laterally and carefully scraped out in the direction of the prick.
