Speedohealer - Speedo converter from Healtech

Every car and every motorcycle has a speedometer. With the help of this instrument, which by the way is mandatory in every motor-driven vehicle, you always have your speed firmly in view. Furthermore, it determines the daily mileage and also records the total mileage. If you change the gear ratio or use a different tyre size on your bike, this can lead to inaccurate measurement results. In our TecBike Online Shop you will find a wide selection of Healtech Speedohealer for the following brands, among others:

  • Aprilia
  • Triumph
  • Suzuki
  • KTM
  • Kawasaki

The brands mentioned are only a small selection from our range. We are happy to help you with the selection for your motorcycle.

How does a speedometer work?

The instrument is a familiar sight in every vehicle. But how exactly does the speedometer work?

If you ride an older motorcycle, the so-called speedometer cable runs from the hub of your front wheel along the fork into the speedometer. There you will find a mechanism. It is responsible for the speed display and the odometer.

The speed display on a newer motorcycle is somewhat different. Electronically, the speed is already recorded at the gearbox output. This data is then passed on to the cockpit. This is followed by a conversion of the digital data into kilometres per hour. Depending on the model, the speed is indicated either by means of a classic pointer instrument or on a display.

If you now change the gear ratio, for example by using a different sprocket, you would ride with anincorrectlyset speedometer. The result would be different readings and you would be riding at the wrong speed.

Healtech offers you with the Speedohealer a simple and inexpensive solution to achieve a reliablespeedometer adjustment.

Speedohealer from Healtech - speedometer adjustment made easy

On many motorcycles, the measurement tolerance is in the range of up to 10 percent. A change of gear ratio can drive this value even higher and the deviation quickly amounts to 15 or more percent. In addition to an incorrectspeed reading, the mileage will be significantly higher than it actually is. This has a negative effect on the resale value, which drops. In addition, the service intervals are also altered by the incorrect mileage. And for no reason.

The Speedohealer can be installed on any motorcycle that does not have a cable-driven speedometer.

By the way, a Speedohealer also provides the ability to remove thetop speed limiteron certain vehicles for racing purposes.

Simple operation and programming

The Speedohealer user interface has been designed to be quick and easy to use. The speedo converter for your motorcycle scores with easy programming. Just as easy you check your entries and can change the stored parameters if necessary.

A detachable remote control for the Top Speed Recall function comes as standard. Thanks to a dual-bank memory, you can store two independent calibration values. You can easily switch between these values at the touch of a button. So that you know which bank and thus which usage value is active, you receive a visual confirmation. This is handy if you use tires of different sizes or different ratios.

You can also change the display from kilometers per hour to miles per hour (MPH) and vice versa at the touch of a button. Using SMD technology, the Speedohealer is the lightest and smallest full-featured calibrator ever built, according to the manufacturer. 32-bit processing ensures maximum precision and a delay-free response to the input signal. The tacho converters in our shop also score points with a wide operating voltage range. Depending on the model, they work with a supply voltage that ranges from 3 volts to 19 volts. This ensures uncomplicated installation as well as reduced power consumption including auto-standby.

Every speedo converter for the motorcycle is extensively tested by the manufacturer. This guarantees perfect functioning. With its robust and compact design, the speedo converter is 100 percent weatherproof. In addition, the cables are protected against short circuits, high energy transients, i.e. unpredictable and non-periodic voltages, and blocking voltages.

An instruction manual in German language makes the installation even easier for you.
