Motorcycle handlebars, grips & bar ends by Tecbike - Transform your standard motorcycle

In the Schrauber hit parade the conversion of the motorcycle handlebars ranks right at the top. But it is not only the optics that plays an important role in the selection of this attachment. In our shop you will find a wide range of products around the topic of motorcycle handlebars. You will find handlebar weights, handlebar grips or stub handlebars for the most common brands. Superbike handlebars and hand protectors complete our range for you.

From the standard machine to the individual custom bike - tips for a successful handlebar conversion

  • Which handlebar models are available, what width should they be and which offset is appropriate? Here you should pay particular attention to the clamping diameter. If you want to use a Bigbar handlebar with a diameter of 28.5 mm, you may need an adapter.
  • Suck it and see. To try out, you attach these motorcycle accessories loosely with a protection (for example a foil or tape). This way you avoid assembly marks in advance (important for a possible return).
  • Even when the handlebars are fully turned, the dream handlebars must not bump against the tank or the fairing. Once you have checked this, the next step is to take a tape measure of the lines and cables to determine the exact lengths. When exchanging the cables, it is also important to pay attention to the brake fittings. Is it still seated correctly? Often a replacement is expensive and the right parts are hard to find.
  • Complete conversion kits contain all necessary components. If you want to assemble your own conversion parts, we recommend that you research thoroughly in advance. In this way you will find the suitable cables, lines and/or fittings and their prices. In our shop you will find a large selection of tube handlebars, stub handlebars, bar ends and grips.
  • Very important: Your converted bike must be presented to the TÜV even if you have the ABE (German type approval). As a rule, a chargeable approval of the attachment is necessary.

Modifications to the motorcycle handlebars - that's what counts

Motorcycle handlebars are available with different widths, heights, also in terms of cranking and clamping diameter different products are available from us. Similar to the saddle, the handlebars are also very sensitive. Therefore, ergonomics should be considered before design or appearance. While one would like a high and relaxed handlebar position, other bikers prefer wide and low handlebars. Regardless of which model you choose from our shop, the most important question before you start retrofitting is: Does the handlebars fit your sitting position? Can you ride long distances painlessly in one piece?

To determine the maximum width - for example for a Z handlebar - stand in front of a table. Your arms hang down loosely. Now spread your little fingers apart and place them on the edge of the table. This distance is now measured. Usually it moves in a range between 60 and 80 cm. If you add five to eight centimetres to this, you have determined the width that is suitable for you. A higher width requires more effort when turning the car. The shoulder joints in particular quickly become unpleasant if the handlebars are too wide.

Which handlebar types are available in our shop?

In our shop you will find a wide range of products around the motorcycle tuning. No matter if you need tuning parts for a street bike or if you want to equip your "racing bike" with racing suitable parts, we offer you high quality motorcycle accessories. A very special eye candy not only for choppers and cruisers is the Z handlebar. Due to its extraordinary shape it is a real eye-catcher just like the M handlebars. Coloured handlebar grips and handlebar weights set trendy accents, which for example can loosen up a puristic design.

Which motorcycle handlebars fit your bike?

How a bike feels when steering is mainly determined by three factors. Firstly, the width of the handlebars. The wider the handlebars, the longer the lever with which the steering impulse is transmitted to the motorcycles. If the lever is long, less force is required. Therefore the hand has to travel a long way. The other way round, for example with a stub handlebar or a narrow tubular handlebar, the distance is short, but the effort required is higher.

Another very important factor is the crank, i.e. the three-dimensional bend. Many riders find a discreetly rearwardly curved shape with downwardly inclined handlebar ends pleasant. Thirdly, imagine a line between your hands on the handlebars. The closer it is to the steering head bearing, the more precise you feel the steering response. The stub handlebar is an extreme that can give you the feeling of holding the axle of your bike in your hands. Widely curved and very wide cruiser handlebars are exactly the opposite. With them you steer the vehicle rather indirectly.

  • High stub handlebars: They allow a comfortable posture without having a negative influence on the aerodynamics. Ideal for sporty touring motorcycles.
  • Deep stub handlebars: They offer very precise steering. As a rider you sit compactly and offer the wind only little contact surface, even at high speeds.
  • Tubular handlebars: Preferred handlebar shape for naked bikes and sporty all-rounders with high everyday suitability.
  • Superbike handlebars: This shape is often found on sports bikes that do not have to be suitable for motorsport, but are also used for longer tours. Therefore a conversion towards comfort is desired.
  • Dragbar, Beach Bar, Apehanger: These accessory handlebars are suitable for choppers and cruisers, classic models and retro variants. Here coolness and appearance are in the foreground.

Because every biker has his or her own preferences, we have a lot of accessory handlebars and grips in our range. Discover our assortment now, so that you can find exactly the handlebar that suits you.
