The newer GASS RS-A rims are manufactured using the "FE method" (finite element), which minimizes weight while improving stability and rigidity.The weight reduction reduces the mass moment of inertia, which in turn leads to improved acceleration and braking performance. The gyroscopic effect when turning in is also reduced - handling is optimized and the bike becomes more agile and easier to handle.The weight saving of the GASS RS-A is also immediately noticeable visually: the visible recesses on the outer edge of the rim base are typical of the new rim - a visual enhancement of the rim.Weight saving in the example:The 2015 Yamaha R1 uses "lightweight" OEM magnesium rims.The OZ PIEGA saves approx. 1.3 kg per set compared to the R1 OEM magnesium rim.The GASS RS-A reduces the weight even further. The set weighs around 2.05 kg less than the OEM magnesium rim of the R1!The rims are supplied ready to fit: incl. ball bearings, angle valves, spacer bushes, sprocket carrier for two-sided swingarms. For double-sided swingarms, the chainring must be selected and ordered separately from the extensive range.
