Only if the surface is free of dust and grease will pads stick properly. If a tank pad has already been glued on and is now to be replaced, it is important to meticulously remove all adhesive residue. Warm up the areas carefully with a hair dryer. All-purpose cleaners are an environmentally friendly and paint friendly alternative. Acetone-containing cleaners can attack the paint, therefore they are not suitable. If you have a silicone remover, it can also be used for this work.
If the surface is free of all residues, the time has come to apply the new and attractive protective sticker. Rub the Tankpad with a water-rinsing agent mixture beforehand. This prevents the pads from bubbling during application and makes it easier to apply the sticker accurately.
