Furthermore, they are mostly well kept secrets. This will not change with the increasing digitalization of motorsports.

Recording is somewhat easier with a so-called data logger. The devices are available in different physical sizes and collect different data during the journey. After the ride, you can have them displayed on the device as a replay or graphically on the PC. If it is possible to add comments to the data collection, this allows you to replay the results again and again at a later time: Which setting and which material allows the fastest lap times? At the same time, the effort required to determine this relevant data is reduced, and evaluation and implementation can be carried out simply and quickly.

It depends on the satellite coverage

Only rarely are there optimal geographical conditions for the race tracks. Sufficient coverage of the satellite network is essential for precise measurement of the respective lap times. The Nordschleife, for example, presents great challenges for man and machine. To master them, the manufacturer is relying on a new technology, the TWIN GPS. It is capable of using the American Global Position System and the Russian GLONASS system to determine the data. This means that up to 16 satellites are available at any time for exact navigation and positioning.

During the journey, the sensitive technology must be protected from vibrations and water. A silicone seal decouples the sensitive electronics in the front housing from the rear housing. The CORSARO PRO uses the Starlane Gasket Dampening System and a holder with an additional silent block. Even with the housing screws, the manufacturer attaches great importance to tightness. To prevent the ingress of moisture and dust, each of the screws is equipped with a sealing silicone ring.

In order to make the mounting and positioning of the device on the motorcycle as easy as possible, it was necessary to develop a power connection that is as small as possible (removable). A slightly convex back allows a particularly narrow design. There are no protruding components that could interfere with the installation. The integrated high-performance battery is charged via a micro-USB socket. Alternatively, mounting with adhesive pads is possible.
